On 13.4-14.4 Sri Lanka celebrates the singalese New Year. For one week everybody use the holidays to visit his family all over the island. Before that days we try to advance as fast as possible.

Easter Monday: back to work
After the christian Easter holidays, we go back to work. Saturday and Sunday were used by the muslim and hindu workers to advance the construction before they celebrate on 13./14.4 the hindu’s new year.

First roof structure and first Felix at the site
Today the project did a further step: The first roof structure is installed and finally Felix arrived on site.

A lot of concrete has been poured today: Works on the second ringbeam have been almost completed, as well as the plinth beam at the caretakers house. Further more we did a new set of tiles, featuring leaf inlays.

Fully Comet – high life on the site
F like Francis – the Trucks in Sri Lanka are really colourfull and for us they bring the cement. In the morning at 10:00 with 30 degrees everyone is working hard. The welder are the happy ones who can work

In Sri Lanka the workers got to the site even on saturday. We are happy about it, because of the rain on friday moring we have a little delay to compensate. Our new support in the office. Carolin arrived on

The morning starts with rain and we are still waiting for the delivery of more bricks and wooden 2by2s. When it rains in the morning the laborers go home again and don’t work at that day even if it stops

The material is deliverd by the colorfull sri lankan lorrys. The furniture is ready for use.There is still the palmtree leaf-roof missing at the little office building to make some shade. To get special prepared bananaleafs it will take two
